Kris Aquino: President Duterte, please give me a chance. I hope one day mamahalin mo rin ako


Former presidential sister Kris Aquino on Friday expressed sadness after her much-awaited interview with President Rodrigo Duterte did not push through.

Aquino, sister of Duterte's predecessor Benigno Aquino III, was supposed to meet Duterte at the National Micro, Small, and Medium Entrepreneurs’ (MSME) Summit 2016 in Davao City.

However, Duterte did not make it to the event as he was not feeling well. The president had just arrived before dawn in Davao City from a two-day visit to Malaysia.

Kris hopes that her cancelled meeting with Duterte will still push through in the future.


"President Duterte, please give me a chance. I hope one day mamahalin mo rin ako (one day you will love me)," she said on stage at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City.

Aquino, who looked slimmer in a green dress, said she was sad since she prepared for the interview.

"Minsan ang mga first date hindi natutuloy. President Duterte pinaghandaan kita, nag-diyeta ako ng dalawang linggo," Aquino said.

(Sometimes, the first date doesn't push through. I even prepared for this, went on a diet for two weeks)

"Twenty-six na lang po ang bewang ko ngayon. Sisiguraduhin kong maging 25 para sa next time na pagkikita natin."

(My waistline is now 26. I'll make sure it will go down to 25 in time for our meeting.)
She also shared that she talked to her brother on the phone after learning that Duterte won't make it to the event. She said her brother told her not to back out of the event.

"Nagtanong ako sa kuya ko kung dapat kong ituloy. Tumawag po ako at sinabi ko, Noy, I'm alone. Sabi ko sa kanya, what do I do? Sabi nya, 'You made a commitment. Nandyan ka para sa GoNegosyo, nandyan ka kasi you believe in the Philippine economy, and nandyan ka because you want everybody to be included in the growth of our economy,'" she said.

Aquino's brother was the titular head of the once-ruling Liberal Party, which fielded former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas in the presidential race.

Richard Gomez part of ‘Espinosa drug group’ — CIDG team leader

Actor-turned-Ormoc City mayor Richard Gomez were among the local politicians who have illegal drug dealings with the late Albuera, Leyte mayor Rolando Espinosa, Police Chief Inspector Leo Laraga, head of a team from the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) revealed on Thursday.

At the hearing of Senate Committee on Public Order, Laraga said their team had to apply for a search warrant from the provincial court of Samar because there were some local officials in Leyte province who were part of the so-called “Espinosa drug group”.

“May mga personality na involved doon sa Espinosa drug group mismo galing din ito sa [Leyte]— nabanggit na rin ito ni late Mayor Espinosa regarding doon sa mga politiko na involved and at the same time, ‘yung mga nasa PNP (Philippine National Police),” Laraga said.


Laraga was the head of the team from the CIDG Region 8 who served the search warrant to Espinosa at about 4 a.m. on Saturday, November 5. The CIDG operation lead to the death of Espinosa and another inmate, a certain Raul Yap, in what Laraga’s team claimed as a shoot out.

Laraga said the local officials he was referring to are specifically from the city governments of Baybay and Ormoc and from the provincial government Leyte.

“Yung sa Baybay City is involved. Yung vice mayor ng Baybay City, allegedly yung governor ng Leyte, the mayor of Ormoc City, and the congressman of the third district of Leyte,” Laraga said.
Laraga refused at first to name the officials he was referring to, but eventually gave in upon the egging of Senate Majority Leader Vincete Sotto III.

“Sina Baybay Vice Mayor Mike Cari, Leyte Governor Leopoldo Petilla, Ormoc Mayor Richard Gomez and Rep. Vicente Veloso,” Laraga said.

Laraga said he personally heard the names of these politicians from Albuera Municipal Police chief Inspector Jovie Espenido in a case conference.

“Sinabi niya (Espenido) ’yun personally ‘yung mga pangalan na sinabi ko na binanggit ni Mayor [Espinosa],” Laraga said.


Richard Gomez denies links to Espinosa drug ring, says he advocates clean & healthy lifestyle

The camp of Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez has threatened to file charges against those falsely linking him to illegal drug operations.

Atty. Alex Avisado Jr., lawyer of Gomez, said his client is not involved in any illegal drug activities and has always advocated clean and healthy lifestyle.

“Mayor Richard “Goma” Gomez, Cong. Lucy Torres Gomez and Board Member Matt Torres have always been against drugs. They are advocates of a clean, active and healthy lifestyle. They have not and and will never get involved in drugs,” Avisado said in a statement shared by Gomez on Facebook.

“They were resoundingly elected by the people of Ormoc and the 4th District of Leyte based on their solid anti drug campaign. So to those who are desperately trying to destroy their reputation you have been warned! Put up or shut up! We will see you in court!” he added.

Gomez was reportedly among the Leyte local officials implicated in the affidavit of slain Albuera Mayor Rolando Espinosa.

Kris to return on TV with Duterte interview?

MANILA – Seven months since she bade goodbye to viewers of "Kris TV," Kris Aquino is ready to make her TV comeback with a one-on-one interview with no less than the President of the Philippines.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, Aquino shared that she is set for a sit-down interview with President Rodrigo Duterte, the successor of her brother Benigno Aquino III.

“I promised myself, babalik ako for a once in a lifetime, one on one interview,” she wrote in the caption.
Aquino’s interview with Duterte will air on November 11 on TV5 and PTV4.

Aquino's morning show on ABS-CBN, "Kris TV," aired its final episode on March 23 after she decided to take a break from show business because of health problems.

After being a regular fixture of ABS-CBN for almost 20 years, Aquino announced last September that she has decided to leave the network.


At that time, Aquino also revealed that she is set to do a project with APT Entertainment, Inc., which is closely associated with rival GMA-7.

APT stands for Antonio P. Tuviera, and is a subsidiary of TAPE Inc., the producer of "Eat Bulaga," among other shows.

Agot Isidro To President Duterte - You Are A Psychopath


MANILA, Philippines – Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella on Sunday, October 9, responded to actress Agot Isidro's criticism against President Rodrigo Duterte.

In a statement, Abella said: "While she (Isidro) is entitled to her own opinion, it also reveals the kind of attitude that the President is addressing – dependency on foreign aid. He wants the Filipino people to gain true independence, economically, mentally and socially."

In a Facebook post last Friday, October 7, Isidro said: "Unang-una, walang umaaway sa iyo. As a matter of fact, ikaw ang nang-aaway.


(First of all, no one's fighting with you. As a matter of fact, you're the one picking fights with others.)

"Pangalawa, yung bansa kung saan ka inuluklok ng 16 million out of 100+million people ay Third World. Kung makapagsalita ka parang superpower [ang] Pilipinas eh. At excuse me, ayaw namin magutom. Mag-isa ka na lang. Wag ka mangdamay. Hindi na nga nakakain ang nakakarami, gugutumin mo pa lalo.

(Second, this country, where 16 million out of 100+ million voted for you, is a Third World [country]. The way you talk, it's as if the Philippines were a superpower. And excuse me, none of us want to go hungry. Just be by yourself. Don't drag other people into it. A lot of people are already starving, you'll make them starve more.)

"Pangatlo, may kilala ako psychiatrist. Patingin ka, hindi ka bipolar. You are a psychopath."

(Third, I know a psychiatrist. Why don't you have a check-up? You're not bipolar. You are a psychopath.)

Isidro, who is part of the show Ang Probinsyano, seemed to be reacting to Duterte's remarks that he would not beg for assistance from the United States and the European Union – as her Facebook post included a link to the story on that topic.

"Maski magkahirap dito (Even if we face hardships), we will survive. I'll be the first one to go hungry, I'll be the first one to die of hunger, huwag kayo mag-alala (don't worry). But we will never, never compromise our dignity as Filipinos," said Duterte at a police camp in Butuan City last Thursday, October 6. Watch the Video below.

Miss Earth Philippines 2016 Hot Bikini Photos




Imelda Bautista Schweighart, better known by her former screen name Imee Hart (born May 29, 1995) is a Filipino-German model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2016 on June 11th, 2016.

She will represent the Philippines in upcoming Miss Earth 2016 later this year at an undisclosed venue and location.




Aside from being a beauty queen, she also entered the showbiz industry since age 14. She was part of variety show Willing Willie as one of the co-hosts of Willie Revillame from 2010 to 2011 and was also part of the cast of youth-oriented drama series Bagets: Just Got Lucky, both aired on TV5. She is also an accomplished swimmer since high school days.



Before being crowned as Miss Philippines Earth 2016, Schweighart first joined Binibining Pilipinas 2013 and was named as one of the Top 15 finalists in the competition, aside from bagging the Binibining Pilipinas-PAGCOR special award.

Jaclyn Jose - First Filipina Who Won Best Actress In Cannes Film Festival

CANNES, France – Filipino actress Jaclyn Jose won best actress at the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, May 22, for her mesmerizing performance as a mother forced to sell drugs to survive before falling prey to corrupt police.

She is the first best actress win at Cannes for the Philippines and beat international stars Charlize Theron and Marion Cotillard, who represented the United States and France, respectively. Wow, this is a huge success to all the Filipino.

"I am so surprised. I just went to have the red carpet walk with my daughter [actress Andi Eigenmann], my real-life daughter and my daughter in the movie also," she said upon accepting the award, according to AP. "To Cannes, thank you so much, thank you to the jury, thank you that you liked our film."

One of the biggest challenges she had to face for the film is "toning everything down to zero" to give justice to her role as a shop owner and small-time drug dealer.

"The biggest challenge for me was not to act. Especially since I am coming from television shows where I play loud and campy characters," she told reporters.
