Broadcast personality Martin Andanar, incoming chief of Presidential Communications Office's (PCOO), revealed Friday that he is in talks with Facebook officials for a possible live streaming of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte's inauguration on June 30.
In an interview with ANC's Headstart, Andanar said Facebook executives will come to discuss Duterte's inauguration on June 30.
"I'm meeting with the guys from Facebook. They are flying over and they are offering, they are proposing to stream the entire event, the entire inaugural," Andanar said.
Andanar noted that President Duterte gained much of his media coverage from his supporters on the social networking site like Facebook.

Eyeing To Live Videos On Facebook
The incoming PCOO chief is also eyeing to stream live videos of presidential briefings on Facebook."I will propose to the president that after the inaugural, thereafter, all of the briefings, all of the presidential briefings and announcements should be streamed on Facebook," Andanar said.
Andanar earlier said he wants to rename the agency from PCOO to Presidential Communications Office for easy recall.
If this will gonna happen, this is the first time Facebook will cover an inaugural of a President. Grabe, isipin ninyo na lang kung gaano talaga katindi ang magiging Presidente natin. I guess, ito yung sagot sa mga bias media na nagbabanta na magboboycot kay Pres. Digong.
Isa sa pinaka malaking advantages kung maipapalabas ito sa Facebook ay maraming mga kababayan natin ang makakapanood lalo na yung mga OFW o nasa ibang bansa na mga Pilipino ng walang putol at bahid ng pagkaka-edit.
This age is not the old age na pwede nilang manipulahin ang balita at kung ano lang ang gusto nilang ibalita sa tao para pabutihin o pasamain ang reputasyon ng isang tao. Kaya mas open minded na ngayon at mas lalong naging mapagmasid ang mga mamamayang Pilipino. Let us pray na matuloy ang planong ito ni Mr. Andanar.
